La Sub-23, bajo el mando de Hugo Sánchez, llego la noche del lunes procedente del area de la Bahia de San Francisco, en donde habia solventado un compromiso ante su similar de Australia, cuyo resultado fue un empate a un gol por bando. 
En Texas, los muchachos se enfrentarán a Finlandia, a la seleccion mayor de ese pais, el cual sera el ultimo examinador de esta joven selección antes de iniciar la fase final del PreOlimpico rumbo a China 2008 que se llevara a cabo en tierras norteamericanas. El clima se puso al lado de la seleccion finlandesa para recibir al cuadro Azteca pues luego de varios dias de clima primaveral, la region se vio afectada por una inusual nevada que depositó varias pulgadas de la substancia blanca en algunas partes del Metroplex. Como es costumbre donde se presenta la selección de México, en la terminal se dieron cita muchos nobles aficionados a quienes no les importó la nieve, ni el leve retraso que tuvo el vuelo con tal que pudieran obtener una fotografia con su jugador preferido.
